As to advice on the Euro 2008 outright winner, the picture has changed
a lot since the start of the tournament.
Before we said we would not back the favourites Germany (highest odds were 5.00 at
Winunited). Klose seems out of form, besides Ballack the midfield
does not really convince and neither does their defence.
On the one hand Germany was much stronger than we expected, but to be honest only in one match (quarter-finals against Portugal).
We were absolutely right when we doubted the strength of World Cup winners Italy (highest odds were 8.20 at Centrebet)
but said that they must always be taken into account, although without Cannavaro and Nesta
their defence still had to prove their usual strength.
They proved strong enough defensively against Spain, but were still knocked out on penalties.
We suggested that Portugal (8.70 at Pinnacle), Netherlands (15.00 at Paddy Power)
and Croatia (15.00 at Bwin) were all popular, and could be bet on,
but we placed small bets on Spain (7.00 at Betsson) and slightly higher on
France (was 10.00 at Bet365 (terribly wrong as it seems now)
But we said from the beginning that the outright betting market is a very difficult one.
We rather concentrated on euro match betting and so far were quite successful,
although we did not find too many selections, but the Euro tournament consists of only
31 matches, and our advice always is to only bet when the odds are really worth it and
not for the sake of betting ...
Before the semis we advised a bet on Russia, but also Spain were to be taken into account.
In any case we thought that the winner of the Spain vs Russia semifinal will take home
the trophy. And that's what we still believe.

Take a look at some recent betting advice:
This sunday 29 June the big final of Euro 2008 will be played between
Germany and Spain. Although we favour Spain we won't send out an official
tip for this match. What makes it uncertain are the absence of David Villa
due to injury and the inconsistency of Germany's recent performances
(very good against Portugal, very poor against Turkey).
The best odds currently available for the Euro final are:
Spain - 2.35 at Expekt
Draw - 3.30 at Bwin
Germany - 3.50 at Paddy Power
Good luck!
