It’s fourth versus second at Meadow Lane on Monday night and a match which could decide which team is automatically promoted from League Two. Bournemouth have been established in the top three for much of the season, although County have the chance to leapfrog the Cherries after a topsy-turvy season. We all know about the Magpies’ off-the-field problems, which has seen Sven-Goran Eriksson and Sol Campbell come and go from the club, although new manager Steve Cotterill has steadied the ship since taking charge and the team have won their last four matches. This is a team with several players capable of playing at a higher level, including Lee Hughes, Craig Westcarr and Ricky Ravenhill.

Bournemouth blazed a trail at the beginning of the season, although Eddie Howe only has a small squad at his disposal and we should note that they have already lost six away matches this term. Their last two road trips have seen 1-0 defeats at Dagenham and Shrewsbury and, while Jed Pitman has been prolific in front of goal this season, it’s easy to back the home win on this occasion.
