Most bookmakers trimmed their odds on the home side to win this game after they put Blackburn to the sword on Wednesday. However, at the time of writing, Expekt still offers nearly even money (1.95) and that’s a big price on the basis that Fulham have won four of their six home matches this term. In addition, Arsenal were lucky to escape with a 1-0 nil win at Craven Cottage, and this could be the game where Danny Murphy and Andy Johnson make long-awaited returns. Not that Roy Hodgson’s team might need them, with Erik Nevland and Clint Dempsey helping the team to a comfortable 3-0 win over Rovers.
Bolton have lost their last four matches and it appears that there is player dissent in the dressing room. Gary Megson has admitted that this season is going to be a struggle and their last two away matches have seen the team lose 4-0 at Chelsea and 5-1 at Aston Villa.
